This all started with a shopping trip at World Market. I love looking around in there and seeing what they have!
I came upon this cute wooden drink caddy. It even has a bottle opener at the end!
I’m all for using it as a drink caddy, but thought it could be a cute decor piece, too.
Wouldn’t it be adorable with some different sized glasses and flowers (fake or real) in it? Yes! So I decided I needed a new centerpiece for our kitchen table now that the weather is warming up!
I bought two of each to mix up the height and texture throughout the wooden caddy.
Now for some flowers! I’d love to put real flowers in here, but since we don’t have real flowers on hand all the time – at least not until we start our flower garden – I headed to Michael’s for some fake ones.
These yellow Gerbera daises and green hydrangeas were the perfect fit.
I also had some taller red, yellow and green Gebera daises from IKEA from years ago that I’d used for a centerpiece in an apartment. (You may have seen a picture of that centerpiece in my post from last week where I talked about the table and bar stools I’m still using from that same apartment!)
The flowers had been in storage for a while (I keep a ton of old decor items in the basement … you just never know when you’ll want to use something again), but this was the perfect reason to bring them back out!
It’s nice having flowers at varying heights.
I arranged the vases and flowers in the caddy for a fun summer centerpiece.
Once we have a patio out back, this will be a fun piece for the center of our patio table, too!
What do you use for a centerpiece in the summer – indoors and out?
