I’ve been into the wine cork projects lately, and you guys have shared such sweet comments on the recent cork projects, so I’m back with another one today.
Full disclosure, I didn’t make this one. Our neighbor gave us this cork board when we moved in. (But I have made a few for other people since, and it’s such an easy DIY!)

Supply list for a cork chalkboard:
- Old Lang calendar frame (I’ve found them at Goodwill or there are some here.)
- Paint
- Paint brush (2)
- Corks
- Hot glue gun and glue
- Chalkboard paint
- Chalk
How to make a cork chalkboard:
1. Paint the wooden frame.
2. Paint the base of the calendar frame with chalkboard paint.
I talk about how to paint with chalkboard paint here if you’ve never done it.
3. Use a hot glue gun to glue corks around the edge.
4. Write a sweet message!
Cover the whole board in chalk first though or otherwise whatever you write first will leave an outline on your chalkboard forever and ever.
You can see my trick for getting perfect chalkboard letters here – it’s easy!
We have the cork board hanging in our kitchen right near our wine fridge.

It’s fun to change up the message throughout the seasons. This quote was perfect for our St. Patrick’s Day party.

I love the cork chalkboard, adorable. You’re right, this would be easy to duplicate, but that message is unique! She did a great job.
