We’ve moved a few times and having little memories of home with us always makes our new place feel a bit more like home.

For their living room:
Candles always make a perfect gift and can go in any room of the house. These Homesick candles are filled with the signature scents of each state. How special is that?!
The coffee table is a bigger purchase, but it’s a fun way to add a little personality to a room. I love the wood with the hairpin legs, it reminds me so much of our new coffee table in our living room.
For their bar:
If you have a favorite city you like to visit, these could be fun, too. We bought some cool glasses in Vancouver last year, and we use them ALL the time.
For when they entertain:
Coasters, trays, serving dishes … these are a few of my favorite things. You can never have enough coasters, and these are such a small way to give a little reminder of home. The only question is, go for the wood coasters or the more typical map look?
We just ordered that custom map serving tray, and we love it! I have it displayed on a bookshelf because I think it’s too pretty to cover up with drinks! (Our neighbors threatened to steal it since it would work perfectly in their home, too – ha!)
We use that Wisconsin cutting board for appetizers allllll the time. (It comes in other states, too.)
For their walls:
It’s no secret I love this little wood state box sign. I think we’ve had it in just about every room of the house by now. (It comes in various states.)
This little wood rectangle state sign is a good option, too.
This two state sign is another fun idea. It’s perfect for the engaged couple or newlyweds on your list, too.
For the rest of the house:
I’m always a sucker for a good ornament. (And this one is cheap!)
That state necklace is so cute. I love how simple it is.
The long distance touch lanterns are such a unique idea, I’ve never seen these before. What a cool concept!
