Sherwin Williams’ Krypton is a pretty, calming blue paint color perfect for a coastal, nautical or cozy feel in any room.
Something about light blue walls is just so calming and relaxing, don’t you think?
We hadn’t used blue on the walls before, but in the rental house, we chose Krypton by Sherwin Williams (SW6427) for our powder room, and I love it!

Since picking paint colors can be such a challenge, I’ve been walking through different paint colors we’ve used in our house in a paint color series here on the blog. It’s a fun way to see pictures of paint colors in real spaces.
Even though we’ve only used Krypton in one room, I wanted to do a blog post on it since it’s such a pretty blue color!
You can see the other paint colors here: Camelback (tan), Agreeable Gray, Aesthetic White and Ryegrass (green).
Krypton is such a pretty, calming shade of blue paint. It leans a little gray but just enough – it’s definitely a good blue paint color!
Krypton looks great paired with the white trim and wooden spool towel rack (such a fun, easy DIY!) in here so no matter if your trim is light or dark, Krypton is a good calming blue color.
Krypton paint in a bathroom
It’s perfect for adding a pop of color to the bathroom even if you prefer mostly neutral paint colors in the rest of the house like we do.

If you’re looking for something similar to Krypton, Jubilee (SW 6248) is one shade darker and North Star (SW 6246) is one shade lighter on the Sherwin Williams’ color wheel.
And if you’re looking for something to pair with Krypton, Sherwin Williams listsQuicksilver (SW 6425), Greek Villa (SW 7551) and Tarnished Trumpet (SW 9026) as coordinating colors.
As always, paint samples are your friend! 🙂 Test them out before you dive in!
